Focusing on the difficulties faced by people with disabilities and their families from their own perspectives in daily activities and specific situations, we worked with Mirairo to develop content that helps address these challenges. As in the previous year, we continued to share this content as the “Tips for Daily Living” series through Mirairo’s official media platform, Mirairo News. To deliver this information directly to people with disabilities, we introduced notification alerts via Mirairo ID, the digital disability certificate, and shared the content with all registered users.
In 2025, we focused on two themes frequently requested by readers in post-reading surveys—“toilet cleaning” and “bathing.” With this in mind, we introduced the specific difficulties associated with each and shared practical tips to help resolve them.

In April, we conducted a survey among Mirairo ID registrants to gather feedback on this initiative. Based on the valuable feedback received, we incorporated improvements into this year’s content development to make it even more useful for those facing difficulties. (Respondents: 777 people with diverse types of disabilities)

We continued to receive a high volume of visits from people with disabilities and their families. Readers shared comments such as relief at knowing they were not alone in their struggles and a sense of greater positivity about trying new approaches, suggesting that the content also provides emotional support.
To assess the significance and challenges of our work to date and apply the findings to future improvements, we conducted individual interviews in Tokyo, in collaboration with Mirairo, with loyal readers of the “Tips for Daily Living” series who are living with disabilities. (Eight participants with diverse types of disabilities; interviews conducted in December at a facility in Tokyo)
During the interviews, participants with a wide range of disabilities shared many common perspectives on this initiative.
Based on this feedback, we found that this initiative offers a valuable opportunity for loyal readers with disabilities to gain practical insights.
We value the feedback from our readers and will use it to further strengthen the impact of this initiative. We will also continue looking for ways to share our content and the feedback we have received with an even wider audience.
